Cute Boys With Short Haircuts
Hey! It's been waaaay too long:) I've missed you guys! But I've been pretty busy, soo...:)

We had a debate in history class today, which was pretty fun. I LOOOVE debates, but I am deathly afraid of public speaking. So I'm sweating, shaking and hyperventilating as I read my point, but I survive in the end. In fact, my teammates give me a round of a applause, which is uber happy-making.

I named this set after a fab new song I bought, from Vanities, which is a cool obscure musical. I'm really into that sort of thing...my ideal musical has is sexy and dark with a pop rock score, featuring friendship, sex, preferably a gay couple or two, and preganancy and suicide are up there too. If you can name any musical that fits the bill...love you forever! And I'll post a link to your profile in my next set.

Also, if you provide a tidbit about where my cute boys in short haircuts are from...you get a link too! Most of you Americans won't know the adorable should-be couple in the right hand corner, and I bet very few people know the cute, AMAZING singer in the left lower corner. Not sure how many people know the model:))

That's all for now. xo, love you guys, and thanks for the 13K + faves.

You need a friendly hand...I need action
*le sigh* I made you guys a BEAUTIFUL New Year's themed set with a really glam dress and faux fur coat, and a picture of my two favorite singers. I published it, then realized that I wanted to publish it at midnight. I delete it. STUPID! It's gone, and I had a mini-tantrum (I threw several hardcover books at my wall, then punched it:P).

So yeah, I hope you like this. The quote is from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I think it's a nice look, personally, but I'm used to it...I have had this draft sitting around for weeks.

One last thing...please join this group! http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/group.show?id=113859.

14carrie invited me, and since she doesn't have that many members, I figured I'd do some free press. I'd rather not be bombarded with requests to advertise groups and users, though, I like to do it as a random act of kindness. As always, note that I don't do these for faves:)

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's Eve...I know I did! Last night, I learned that I am the Taboo champion of the world. I won both rounds I played with my friends, although the first round, I was paired with my sis, and we had all sorts of inside knowledge.

Oh, by the way...don't hesitate to PM me and chat or ask me to join groups! I don't bite, and I'm very friendly. I WILL add you back. If not, shoot me a PM!

Happy holidays, love stars
I'd appriciate it if you guys read the whole thing:)

Well, a lot of lovely people have been making me holiday prezzies for me and other Polyfriends, so I wanted to make one too. It was a great year for me on Polyvore, and I thank you all for it. So many talented, lovely people have been faving and commenting on my set. I appriciate all of you, even if I forget to get back to you. I hope you ALL have an amazing holiday. You guys deserve it.

Now, the incredibly bubbly and sweet e l l i e .♥{ᶫᵒᵛᵉᵧₒᵤ.} is willing to make prezzie sets for people, and I think you should ALL talk to her about it. She's very talented, and one of the nicest people I've met on Polyvore. In addition to that impressive resume, she is also a beauty guru, with some pretty fab tips you should totally look at. Here's a link to her set prezzie idea if you're interested (and you should be): http://www.polyvore.com/christmas_present_hearts/set?id=26276064. Thank you!

Also, my twin sister, εναŋεšçεŋτ, is going to France for an exchange program in a little over a month. I'd love it if you guys could drop her a note, wish her luck, or give her advice.

Here is a list of people who have made specific sets for me this year. Go check out their work! I'd appriciate it.

By all means, if you want your holiday prezzie set to be added to these ranks, just drop me a PM. I'll do it, add it to my gallery, fave, and comment. Promise.

Oh, how could I have forgotten? ~parisrunways~, my amazingly talented partner for Battle of the Luxe deserves a look. Her sets are awesome. http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/profile?id=646840

Kandi&hearts also deserves a mention! She's awesome, talented, and knows more about the Maple Leafs than anyone I know. I love the Maple Leafs. My grandfather (who lives in Toronto) gave me a jersey last year. Just saying:) But ja! Look at Kandi!

For the record, none of them asked to be advertised. I am not doing any of those 'advertise me for 20 faves'. The only person who knew I was doing this was Ellie...and I offered to do it:) Just so you know...it's Christmas, the season of goodwill and love and friendship. Not the season to be greedy about set likes.

Thank for reading this. Enjoy the set. It's for you guys.

Happy holidays!

Love,

BOTL--Round I

BOTL--Round I
In this round for BOTL, we were assinged a picture of a model and an item. My model was Frida Gustavsson, and the picture was the strawberry cake. I had never heard of Frida before, but as soon as I saw her, I was psyched. She's gorgeous, for one thing, and she's Swedish. I'm pretty sure all my contacts know how much I love Scandinavia by now (I still get regular PMs about it). I liked her look, but I wanted to make it night-friendly as opposed to daytime cool. The cake inspired me to come up with the occasion--a trip to the chicest dessert bar in town. I still incorporated the same colors (olive, medium wash denim, black, nude), just gave it a glam funk...glittery dress, denim jacket, lacey clutch. I love those heels, too--they'd accentuate her already super long legs, and the design is just really, really cool and funky in my opinion.

My super wonderful partner, ~parisrunways~, made used the images differently--her idea was to represent the idea of a beautiful woman touring Paris in a gorgeous Euro-chic look, complete with a fabulous pastry.

You can find her amazing set here: http://www.polyvore.com/botl_round_two_walking_down/set?id=26250961.

And you can locate our fantastic items here (thank you to whoever chose them, because I adore them and feel so inspired!):

Battle of the Luxe: Auditions

Battle of the Luxe: Auditions
My entry for Battle of the Luxe.

My amazingly talented partner, ~parisrunways~: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/profile?id=646840 and her entry: http://www.polyvore.com/untitled/set?id=25866842

To quote my partner (and then me), we used this dress because it had a really formal overlay, but then the tshirt material dressed it down a little bit so it could be worn to work OR a party. It's also edgy, a bit different from what you would normally expect in a high fashion dress, and the colors are fab.

I styled this for a sophisticated Christmas party...black, grey, silver, and a hint of red. I also went for round edges to soften it up. You'll notice the straps of the sandals, the bracelet, the earrings, the rings all have beautiful curvy designs. A lot of the accessories are shimmery in order to create a juxtaposition with the simply colored dress.

~parisrunways~, on the other hand, created an outfit suited for a stylish, smart business woman...stylish and smart, but still fun, as you can see from the hot pink blazer and accents. As she says, it would be perfect for a job interview with a magazine like Teen Vogue. It's fashion-forward and edgy and bright, so people walking past the woman wearing that would definitely look twice. And take notes.

~parisrunways~ and I should be in Battle of the Luxe because we created two high-style, yet very different looks with the same dress. We know how to work with luxe clothing, and use it to create different looks for a successful, stylish woman. In addition, you'll notice we pay a lot of attention to detail and choosing the perfect color scheme.

Thank you for your time!

Skintight Jeans

Skintight Jeans
Once again, clipped to get around the 50-item limit.

I honestly had the worst day yesterday. The biggest issue was presentations in my world hisitory class. I love the class, I love the teacher, but I hate getting up in front of people and talking (odd, since I'm in debate club). The good thing was that I liked my topic. One of our project options was researching family history, connecting it to our unit in Africa, then telling our class our stories. I had a ton of information on my grandmother in Estonia in WWII (one of my favorite things to talk about), so I was pretty excited about everything I had done. Problem was, all the other children doing the family history project talked about plum pudding and Broadway. I talked about war-torn Europe, and how brutally the Soviets treated the Estonians. So of course, as soon as I say, "Tallin was in flames", I get all choked up and start crying in front of the entire class. My teacher had to give me a hug and some tissues, and it was soooo embarrassing. Yeah. Never going to live this down. Sucks sucks sucks.

On the bright side, today my choir sang at the congregational church, and they fed us pizza and cookies which were DELICIOUS. I am so stuffed right now:))

Happy December!

Happy December!
Clipped thanks to the item limit...plus, with all the drama on Polyvore, I'm starting to get paranoid about set copying. Please guys, don't get involved in drama! And that's my public servince announcement for the day.

In Model UN, we're doing a blast from the past...Cold War Week! Specifically, the Cuban Missile Crisis. I will be the DDR...soooo excited!

And who's excited for Christmas? Me:) my family host's an annual Christmas party, and this year's theme is Polar Night. That's when it's dark ALL DAY up North. My idea, natch:)

Enjoy the set!

I'm Back! Just in time for the HOLIDAYS!
So I was gone. I was literally GONE. It was NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. But I did it! I got 50000 words on November 23, so I totally won:) Yay me! Anyway, it's almost December, which is the holiday season. We're already making a gingerbread house...it is AMAZING! It owns. So that's the reason behind my very festive set:)

New York Baby!
Guess who is going to NYC for a long weekend to see Next to Normal, taste America's best coffee, and go to the Life Cafe?

ME. And my mother, sister, and bff.

YAY! Unfortunately, I will not be on Polyvore. I'll return set faves Monday.

I am also doing NaNoWriMO, so I won't be on much tonight, since I need to get ahead! Wish me luck:))
